Position Overview:

As a Quantity Surveyor at our client's esteemed company, you will play a pivotal role in project cost management, ensuring financial control, and supporting the successful execution of construction and civil engineering projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to understand project requirements and objectives.

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets, taking into account materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.

  • Monitor project financials, including cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts.

  • Conduct regular cost reporting and analysis to ensure projects remain on budget.

  • Assess and manage project risks related to cost and contract variations.

  • Provide timely advice on procurement strategies and contractual matters.

  • Support value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without compromising quality.

  • Prepare and review payment applications and change orders.

  • Maintain accurate cost records and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction and civil engineering sector.

  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost management.

  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.

  • Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB, or similar) is advantageous.
