About the Role: We are currently seeking a Principal Chartered Civil Engineer to join our expanding design consultancy in Shropshire. This role offers the opportunity to provide technical design support to a diverse range of clients across the UK, with ongoing projects and excellent career development prospects for the right candidate.

As a Principal Chartered Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing to a variety of residential, commercial, and education projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in delivering accurate design reports and designs, playing an integral role in the business's ongoing growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate and detailed design reports.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and CAD technicians.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices within the office.
  • Collaborate with directors to enhance design services and operational efficiency.
  • Manage projects for existing clients and identify new business opportunities.

About You:

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience with UK-based design consultancies.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Chartered status with MICE, CIWEM, or CIHT.
  • Strong experience in drainage design and flood risk assessments.
  • Proficiency in agreement sections S38, S278, S104.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and technical design skills.
  • Commercial awareness of costing, budgets, and quotations.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Causeway Flow, PDS, and Microsoft Office suite.
